Tokopedia customers feel cheated by using GoSend after buying an iPad, this is Gojek’s attitude

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – gojek Indonesia is considering taking legal steps following complaints from Tokopedia customers who felt they were cheated when buying an iPad using the GoSend instant delivery service. Gojek assessed that the incident could potentially harm other driver-partners.

“Gojek tengah mempertimbangkan untuk mengambil langkah hukum, mengingat perilaku oknum seperti ini sangat merugikan mitra-mitra driver yang bekerja dengan jujur membantu masyarakat memenuhi kebutuhan,” ujar Vice Corporate Communications Gojek Audrey P. Petriny dalam keterangannya kepada Tempo, Ahad, 8 Agustus 2021.

Pelanggan Tokopedia bernama Dina sebelumnya merasa tertipu saat membeli iPad 11 inci berkapasitas 256 gigabita di merchant bernama MA pada aplikasi tersebut. Pembelian dilakukan pada 20 Juli lalu, namun sampai hari ini gawai itu tak pernah ia terima.

Dina memilih pengiriman instan menggunakan layanan GoSend milik Gojek setelah menyelesaikan transaksi pembelian iPad tersebut. Semestinya barang segera datang setelah ia memperoleh laporan mendapatkan kurir. Namun sampai sore, barangnya tak kunjung tiba.

Dina then checked the notification in her Tokopedia application. He saw that the courier had completed the transaction, but the goods were received on behalf of someone else. Trying to contact Gojek to track down the courier address, Dina also obtained the driver’s identity. Dina traced the courier’s residence address.

But nothing. Arriving at the intended address, Dina found that the owner of the identity card was not the courier who delivered the goods. Dina said that the identity owner only rented out his Gojek account to another person with the initials AS.
