Together Unstoppable: Medical students deliver food to the most vulnerable in Georgia | Volunteer opportunities

(TELEMUNDO ATLANTA). In addition to telling you the recommendations to deal with COVID-19, we do not want to ignore the good news, and this time we highlight a great initiative by some medical students who call themselves “Covid Captains”.

They are a group of medical students who live in the Lawrenceville area and support the community by assisting vulnerable people with food deliveries. They organize to receive the purchase order and go house to house delivering the orders.

The group has been dedicated to deliveries in the Suwanee, Lawrenceville and Norcross area

The service is free but requires those who ask for assistance to pay the supermarket bill. If you are interested in volunteering or want to register to receive these deliveries, you can contact them at email: [email protected] or call 770-421-5637.
