The police of Brasschaat received a call around 7 p.m. about an accident with a hit and run on the Bredabaan. A 3-year-old girl was mowed while crossing the pedestrian crossing, after which the driver of the vehicle drove away at high speed. The police immediately launched an investigation, but had very little to go on as no one could provide a description of the vehicle. The circumstances in which the girl suffered life-threatening injuries are currently unclear and are being investigated.
Two family members of the victim have since been arrested. That reports The newspapaer.
