Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Gold is attracting the attention of market players lately. Its status as a safe asset and inflation hedge makes it a target. The world gold price also managed to break back above US$ 2,000/troy ounce this week, the first time since March 2022.
As a result of this increase, the price of gold bars produced by PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk. recorded an all-time high on Friday (24/3/2023). Price increases are an indication of high demand.
The price of gold bars sold at Pegadaian has also increased. Although this week the increase is not large.
Pegadaian sells three types of Antam gold and UBS gold in various sizes and units. Standard Antam gold weighing 1 gram on Sunday (26/3/2023) sells for IDR 1,132,000/bar, based on data from the official Pegadaian website. Compared to last week’s price, the price only increased by IDR 1,000.
Pegadaian sells standard Antam gold ranging in size from 0.5 gram to 1,000 gram.
Then Antam retro with the same size is priced at IDR 1,093,000 / stick. Antam Retro Gold is old packaged gold where the gold coins and the certificate are separate.
Antam Retro Gold was last produced in 2018, and is available from 0.5 grams to 100 grams.
Besides Antam retro, Pegadaian also sells Antam batik, which is the most expensive. Today’s one gram size costs IDR 1,288,000/stick. Antam batik is only available in 0.5 gram, 1 and 8 gram sizes.
Finally, UBS gold is available in sizes from 0.5 grams to 1,000 grams. The size of 1 gram sells for IDR 1,088,000 / stick.
