International Beer Day has been celebrated worldwide on the first Friday of August for several years. In honor of it, Maxima Latvija has compiled the trends of beer consumption among Latvian consumers. It has been found out which local town brands are the most popular, as well as what kind of beer a Latvian likes.
Currently, the stores offer more than 300 types of beer, of which 60% are local brand beers. Researched who is the most bought.

Covid-19 has led to significant changes in alcohol consumption trends around the world. Residents choose to experiment more often, preferring to try new flavors and their own experiments in making cocktails, reducing beer consumption.
In turn, sales data of Maxima confirm that changes in beer consumption trends in Latvia are mainly insignificant. The demand for light beer and beer cocktails has remained unchanged until dark beer is becoming more popular.
