The Ministry of Trade confirmed that subsidized cooking oil of Rp. 14,000 could also be purchased at traditional markets.
For distribution, it will take one week after this policy comes into effect, namely on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
“Traditional markets will be given one week to make adjustments to this policy,” said Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi, quoted from the news Kompas.com.
This policy will last until July 2022 or six months from its enactment.
This was stated by the Director General of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Oke Nurwan.

No need to panic buying
Therefore, Oke appealed to the public not to take wholesale actions or panic buying cooking oil IDR 14,000.
