Tobias Langner Succeeds Vok Dams as President of Marketing Club Bergisch Land, Pays Tribute to the Marketing Icon

Volkwart Dams, marketing expert, Wuppertal ambassador and gallery owner, died on May 19, a few days after his 85th birthday.

Prof. Dr. Tobias Langner with his emotional statement: “Vok Dams was one of the first people from Wuppertal that I got to know and appreciate after moving to Bergische Universität. In his capacity as President, he recruited me for the Bergisch Land Marketing Club. Vok Dams leaves deep traces through its extraordinarily successful, entrepreneurial work, its diverse commitment to the city and in various associations. We both shared the enthusiasm for experience marketing and the special power of emotional events. Driven by an inspiring curiosity, Vok Dams showed great interest in the diverse developments within modern marketing throughout his life. I will miss the conversations, the shoptalk and the intensive discussions just as much as his warm and empathetic manner.”
