The typical products of Italian agri-food land in tobacconists where from September it will be possible to buy from Tuscan and Apulian oils to Calabrian citrus drinks, passing from Giffoni hazelnuts to Gragnano IGP pasta.
The initiative signed by Agrocepi and Uit, agro-food federations and tobacconists belonging to Cepi (European Small Business Confederation) is called ‘Tipicità in Tabaccheria’, and carried out in collaboration with Soleo, a food marketing and logistics company and Ita-International tobacco agency. There are two objectives of the project, which will start in September in 23,000 points, to help small and medium-sized agricultural producers find new market outlets and tobacconists to compensate for the smoking crisis.
“It is an alliance in favor of the 100% Italian product that will be under our ‘La Bella e Buona Italia’ brand with certification issued by the Authentico blockchain platform”, the president of Agrocepi, Corrado Martinangelo, informs ANSA, anticipating the initiative. No competition with the local grocery store or other commercial establishment because “it will be a medium-high excellence proposal for a conscious and gourmet consumer”.
