BOLASPORT.COM – Success Joan Mir earned the title world champion MotoGP 2020 helped bring him into the same group of elite world racers including the living legend, Valentino Rossi.

Joan Mir make sure to become world premier class champion this season after finishing seventh in the Valencia MotoGP race which took place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia, Spain, Sunday (11/15/2020) evening WIB.

An additional 9 points is enough to solidify Mir’s position at the top of the standings regardless of the results that emerged in the last race, MotoGP Portugal 2020.

Because, currently Mir already has 171 points, 29 points ahead of Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) who is in second place in the drivers’ standings.

The difference in points can no longer be pursued because the 2020 MotoGP world championship only leaves one more racing series, namely the Portuguese MotoGP at the Portimao Circuit next weekend.

With the last maximum points up for grabs is only 25, the result of failing to finish from Mir in the next race will not affect his position in the drivers’ standings.

Following the success of winning the 2020 MotoGP world title, Joan Mir is now in an elite group titled the youngest racer to become the world premier class champion.

Mir is now in seventh place in this elite group because he managed to become world champion at the age of 23 years 75 days.
