TNI Performance Allowances Increase 80 Percent in 2021 Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government is passing Ministry of Defence ( Ministry of Defense) will raise performance allowances or log member TNI up to 80 percent in 2021. Increasing the welfare of TNI soldiers himself was promised by President Joko Widodo ( Jokowi) some time ago.

Quoted from Book III of the Work Plan and Budget Association of Ministries / Institutions (RKA / KL) for the 2021 Fiscal Year, Saturday (22/8/2020), the Ministry of Defense in 2021 will receive a budget ceiling allocation of IDR 136.995 trillion.

“The budget ceiling has taken into account, among other things, the allocation for personnel expenditures because there is a plan to increase the performance allowance (tukin) by 80 percent according to the promise of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo) during a speech at the 74th TNI anniversary,” said Book III of the RKA / KL Association Fiscal Year 2021.

In addition to the increase log TNI ( TNI allowances), another allocation is expenditure for goods due to an increase in the budget for the maintenance and maintenance of defense equipment readiness by up to 70 percent and meeting the needs of BMP of Rp 6.112 trillion.

The Health Budget of Rp. 2.941 trillion is used for military service, which comes from RM, PNBP and BLU of Rp. 1.870 trillion and plans to upgrade health equipment through foreign loans of Rp. 1.071 trillion.

In 2021, the Ministry of Defense will also continue priority and strategic activities in order to support the realization of the fulfillment of the MEF to ensure the upholding of sovereignty and maintaining the territorial integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.

Sri Mulyani asked Prabowo to be wise in managing the budget

Previously, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati had asked Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to be wise and efficient in managing the budget for the ministry he led.

This is because the Ministry of Defense is given the largest portion of the budget compared to other agencies, amounting to IDR 127 trillion in 2020.

“The Ministry of Defense’s budget comes from pure rupiah, taken from taxes, domestic loans and foreign loans,” said Sri Mulyani.

“A lot of our military equipment is purchased from abroad. The procurement of the main weaponry system (alutsista) requires a long process,” he continued.

“For soldiers, personnel and other expenses as well as in terms of spending on goods, namely for maintenance, operations, and for the purchase of capital goods such as defense equipment, everything can be executed according to plan and properly,” he said.
