TNI Commander Opens Voice about the 2015 Kemhan Satellite Case

Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa open voice regarding the alleged violation of law behind the satellite procurement project at the Ministry of Defense (Ministry of Defense) in 2015. Andika said that his party was waiting for the ongoing legal process at the AGO.

As is known, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukan) Mahfud Md mentioned that there were alleged violations of law in the project at the Ministry of Defense in 2015. As a result, the state suffered losses of hundreds of billions of rupiah.

“Regarding the alleged violation of the law that causes state losses or has the potential to cause state losses because this court is then required to pay a very large amount of money, even though this obligation was born from something procedurally wrong and violated the law, namely the Ministry of Defense in 2015, it has been a long time coming. , entered into a contract with Avanti to do something, even though the budget was not yet available,” said Mahfud Md during a press conference at his office, Thursday (13/1).

The contract relates to allegations of misuse of satellite management authority for the 123 degree East Longitude Orbit Slot that has occurred since 2015 until now. In summary, the Ministry of Defense signed contracts with Avanti, Navayo, Airbu, Detente, Hogan Lovel, and Telesat without any budget availability.
