TNI Commander Changes the Name of the Elite Corps Paskhas to Kopasgat

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa changed the name of the elite unit belonging to the Indonesian Air Force, namely the Special Forces Corps (Korpaskhas) to the Command of the Rapid Action Forces (Korpas Khas).Kopasgat).

The change in the name of the orange beret unit is contained in the Decree (SK) of the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa Number Kep 66/1/2022 concerning Dismissal from and Appointment in Position within the TNI, dated January 21, 2022.

In the decree, the position occupied by the Young Marshal (Marsda) Eris Widodo Yuliastono changed, from Commander of Korpaskhas to Commander of Kopasgat.

Likewise with the position of his deputy, from the Deputy Commander of Korpaskhas occupied by the First Marshal (Marsma) Taspin Hasan changed to Deputy Commander of Kopasgat.

The name change is also in line with the dismissal and appointment of 328 other high-ranking TNI officers.

Where 28 senior TNI officers, among them entered the department of new TNI units.
