TNI AL Member Beating Ojol Driver with Major Rank, Now Detained by Pomal

TANGERANG, KOMPAS.TV – A member of the Navy who beat an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) in Pamulang, South Tangerang was detained by the Naval Military Police (Pomal).

“Already [ditahan – red], by Pomal Lan III,” said Head of the Naval Information Service (Kadispenal) First Admiral Julius Widjojono quoted from Kompas.com, Monday (10/1/2022).

Julius confirmed that the alleged perpetrator was known to have the rank of Major and the initials B.

Major B serves daily at the Naval Headquarters (Mabesal), Cilangkap, East Jakarta.

“[Bertugas – red] at Headquarters,” he said.

The suspect is currently being held for questioning.

“Meanwhile, the results of the investigation have not been completed,” he said.

Previously reported, an online motorcycle taxi driver was seriously injured in the face due to being hit by a member of the TNI in the Pamulang area, South Tangerang, Banten, Sunday (9/1/2022).

According to eyewitness accounts, the victim’s child who tried to break up was also beaten and injured.
