Before pausing his activities last October due to illness, Lee Soon-jae graced the stage in Samuel Beckett‘s “Waiting for Godot” and appeared in the KBS 2TV drama “Bullshit.” His commitment to acting was recognized in 2024 when he became the oldest recipient of the grand prize at the KBS Drama Awards.
Beyond his acting roles, Lee Soon-jae briefly served as a member of the 14th National Assembly from 1992, representing Seoul’s Jungnang Gap constituency as a member of the Democratic Liberal Party. During his political tenure, he held positions as deputy spokesperson for the party and secretary of the Korea-Japan Parliamentary alliance.
