Chihuahua Governor announces New Acronyms for State Government Departments

Chihuahua, Mexico – ⁤ Governor Maru ​Campos announced a restructuring of state government departments, accompanied by the implementation of new acronyms, on April 26, 2024. The Department of Education ⁤and Sports⁢ will now operate under the name SEDECHI (Secretaría de Educación y Deporte del Estado de Chihuahua). ⁣ The⁤ Department of ⁣Health is now SSCH (Secretaría de Salud de Chihuahua). The ⁤Department of Public Security is now SSPCHI (Secretaría de ⁣Seguridad Pública del Estado de ⁢Chihuahua). The⁢ Department of Habitat‍ and Natural Resources is now SEMARNATCHI (Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales del Estado ⁤de Chihuahua).

Governor Campos stated that the new ​acronyms are part of a broader effort to modernize the state government and enhance it’s​ efficiency. ​ “These ⁤changes are not merely cosmetic,” ​Campos explained. “They represent a essential shift in how we approach public administration, prioritizing clarity, accountability, and responsiveness to the needs of the citizens of Chihuahua.”

The ⁣announcement follows a period of review and consultation with ‌department heads‍ and stakeholders. The Governor’s office indicated that the changes​ are⁢ expected to be fully implemented within the next 30 days. Training will be provided to state employees to ensure a smooth transition.
