Seville, Spain – Radio and Television of Andalusia (RTVA) received an award from the Official College of Psychology of Western Andalusia this weekend for its demonstrated “sensitivity to mental health.” The recognition was presented at the thirteenth edition of ‘The Night of Psychology’ held at the Casino de la Expósito in Seville.
The award acknowledges RTVA’s “constant commitment” to informing citizens responsibly about physical and mental health, utilizing official and scientific sources in its coverage. juan Miguel Vega, director of the Canal Sur Radio group of stations, accepted the honor on behalf of the public media outlet, recognized for its daily efforts to address these fundamental aspects from both a preventative and interventional perspective.
alongside RTVA, other organizations lauded for their commitment to mental health and emotional well-being included Diario de Sevilla, the Andalusian Confederation of Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias, and the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville, celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The event also drew participation from key regional figures, including María Luisa del Moral Leal, Vice-Minister of Health and Consumer affairs of the Junta de Andalucía; José Repiso Torres, Deputy Minister of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality; and Andalusian Ombudsman, Jesús Maeztu Gregorio de Tejada.
