Latvian Rock Band RAP Announces “November Tour” Following 17-Year Hiatus
Kuldīga-born alternative rock band RAP is embarking on a “November Tour” across Latvia, marking a meaningful return after a 17-year period of inactivity. The band celebrated it’s revival with a successful comeback concert at Riga’s Palladium concert hall in March, an event that spurred the creation of a new live single and music video for their song “Life Without Stopping.”
“Life Without Stopping” serves as the lead single for the tour and captures the energy of the Palladium performance. The track features vocals from legendary Latvian singer Igo, who also co-wrote the song alongside all four core members of RAP: vocalist Artis Dvarionas, guitarist Aleksandrs Štro, bassist Artis Rozītis, and drummer Gatis Kaizers.
The “November Tour” is designed too bring RAP’s music to audiences throughout Latvia, with scheduled performances at:
* November 8 - Jelgava, ”Black Hats Ballet”
* November 14 – Cēsis, “Fonoklubs”
* November 15 – Liepāja, “Wiktorija” Cultural Center
* November 22 – Riga, “Angāra” concert hall
Vocalist Artis Dvarionas has stated that the concerts will encompass the band’s entire discography, including hits from their three studio albums such as “Life Without Stopping,” “Nekas agis naj tak,” “Esot vyattne,” and “Viss jau saplanuts.” The setlist will also include new material written since the band’s reunion, and their recently released single, “Melnā (Oh no, no, no!),” which is gaining airplay on Latvian radio.
The final concert at Riga’s “Angāra” concert hall will feature special guests, the alternative rock band Indygo, formed in 2002 and known for albums including IndyGo (2005), Decoy (2013), and Stars (2015), alongside numerous EPs and live recordings.
RAP’s return and the “November Tour” represent a renewed energy within the Latvian music scene, promising a dynamic experience for both long-time fans and new listeners. The single “Life Without Stopping” embodies the band’s enduring passion for music and successful re-emergence.
