PIPSTEM, WV – West Virginia State Parks officially launched its new tram system at Pipestem Resort State Park today, offering guests a scenic ride along the Bluestone River Gorge. to celebrate, tram tickets are available for $5.55, and 55-cent ice cream scoops are being offered at The Canyon Rim Coffee and Creamery Company through Sunday, May 26.
The new tram and recently renovated Mountain Creek Lodge represent a significant investment in pipestem Resort,West Virginia’s premier family adventure destination since 1970. The upgrades aim to enhance the visitor experience and draw more tourists to the state’s renowned park system. More than 7 million people visit West Virginia’s 36 state parks, nine forests, and three rail trails annually.
Pipestem Resort, located on the east rim of the Bluestone River Gorge, offers a wide range of activities beyond the new tram. Guests can enjoy zipline tours, a splash park, adventure lake, guided trout fishing, mountain bike excursions, a championship golf course, 82 campsites, 26 cabins, and two lodges.
