Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has definitively ruled out a return to the national team, dashing hopes for a potential World Cup appearance. “All of Germany can ask him – but he said no,” stated Lothar Matthäus, according to reports.
The news comes as Germany prepares for upcoming qualification games, with Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen sidelined after a back operation and potentially facing a reserve role at his club. Neuer, 39, had previously ended his international career after the 2023 European Championship.
