Juhi Chawla Tops List of India’s Richest Actresses with ₹7790 Crore Wealth
Mumbai: Juhi Chawla has emerged as India’s wealthiest actress, boasting a net worth of ₹7790 crore (approximately $930 million USD), according to the latest Hurun Rich List released by the Hurun Research Institute.This marks a significant distinction for the actress,despite a 13-year absence of major box office successes.
The ranking places chawla ahead of prominent Bollywood stars including Deepika Padukone,Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,Priyanka Chopra Jonas,and Alia Bhatt. While many of her contemporaries continue to headline commercially triumphant films, Chawla’s wealth stems from her diversified portfolio, including substantial investments in real estate and her co-ownership of the Indian Premier League cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders.
The Hurun Rich List,an annual compilation of India’s wealthiest individuals,also revealed that Mukesh Ambani remains the country’s richest person overall. however, Chawla’s position at the top of the actress wealth rankings is notable given her recent filmography, which has largely consisted of direct-to-OTT releases and independent productions. Her last major theatrical hit was Son of sardaar in 2012, starring alongside Ajay Devgn.
