Commanders‘ Jonathan Jones Cleared to Play Sunday After Missing Weeks with Injury
LANDOVER, MD – Washington Commanders cornerback Jonathan Jones has been cleared to return to play on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, ending a several-week absence due to a knee injury.jones was injured in a November 5th game against the New England Patriots and subsequently placed on injured reserve.
The commanders activated Jones from injured reserve on Saturday, making him eligible for the crucial NFC East matchup. Jones, a veteran presence in the secondary, has recorded one interception and 36 tackles in eight games played this season. his return provides a notable boost to a Commanders defense currently allowing 25.4 points per game.
Jones signed with Washington in March 2023 after six seasons with the New England Patriots.He has played 98 career games, starting 75, and has accumulated 15 interceptions and 288 tackles.
