Popular Boxed Mac & Cheese Recalled Nationwide Due to Undeclared Allergens
NEW YORK – Goodles, a popular boxed macaroni and cheese brand, is voluntarily recalling two varieties of its product nationwide after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified undeclared allergens. The recall impacts both the plant-based white cheddar and truffle-flavored varieties, potentially posing a serious health risk to individuals with dairy or nut allergies.
The recall stems from eight reported consumer allergic reactions linked to mislabeling. Consumers with dairy or nut allergies could experience reactions-including anaphylaxis-after consuming the affected products. Symptoms can range from hives and gastrointestinal distress to difficulty breathing and, in severe cases, cardiac arrest. The FDA urges anyone experiencing a severe allergic reaction to call 911 immediately.
The recalled products include Goodles’ “Vegan is Believin'” - Plant Based White Cheddar with Spirals (5.25-ounce) and “Here Comes Truffle” – Creamy Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells (6-ounce). Specific lot codes, UPCs, and best-by dates are affected, with products sold between April 29 and August 8, 2025.
