Kofi Kingston Reportedly Re-Signs with WWE Through 2030
WWE veteran Kofi Kingston has reportedly signed a new five-year contract with the company, extending his tenure through 2030. The news comes shortly after his New Day partner, Xavier Woods, re-signed a multi-year deal with WWE last month following the expiration of his previous contract.
This commitment secures a key performer for WWE’s future, ensuring the continued presence of a star who has been a cornerstone of the company for over 17 years and a vital part of one of its most successful factions,The New Day. Kingston’s re-signing provides stability within the tag team division and maintains a popular figure for potential storylines and mentorship roles as WWE navigates a period of ongoing change.
Kingston initially joined WWE in 2006 through Deep South Wrestling, its developmental territory at the time. He has since amassed an impressive singles career, capturing the Intercontinental Championship four times and the United States Championship twice. His greatest achievement came as a member of The new Day, where he secured seven WWE Tag Team Championships and, in 2019, famously defeated Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.
Despite recent singles losses to LA Knight on the September 29th episode of WWE Raw and to Penta El Zero Miedo on the September 15th episode, Kingston remains a consistent presence on WWE television. He also competed alongside Grayson Waller (substituting for an injured Xavier Woods) at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide on September 12,challenging for the AAA World tag Team Championship.
Fightful Select first reported the details of Kingston’s new contract. As of writing, WWE has not officially confirmed the agreement.
