Reflecting on a Packed Cricket Season
🏏 Cricket is officially over for the year – adn safe to say,the bat will be staying in the bag for a while! It’s been a fantastic season, culminating in the Indoor Content Creators Cup,despite our team finishing last.
☀️ The year kicked off with a memorable match in Midsomer Norton, where a content Creators XI faced off against CanYouCricket Club for the first time. This was followed by the highlight of the year: hosting the 2nd annual Content Creators Cup at Derbyshire CCC. Playing on a professional ground was a first for many of us, and a truly rewarding experience.
🌧 While rain impacted the on-field play at Derbyshire,it was fantastic to witness the continued growth of the cricket content community. We’re already looking ahead to CCC26 and hoping to make it the standout event for cricket social media.
💪 Our work organizing the Creator cup events and assembling content creator teams led to a fantastic invitation to the WBCC event in Teddington. It was a privilege to participate, especially with Monty Panesar in attendance! I opted to spare everyone my off-spin and rather focused on capturing some POV wicket-keeping content.
🙌 The summer concluded with a charity game at Yeovil CC, which enjoyed incredible support from the local community – a truly great event to be a part of.
🍂 As autumn arrived, planning for the Indoor Content Creators Cup took center stage.
🏆 Thanks to the support of Serious Cricket, we successfully ran another competitive indoor tournament, with Cricket District finally claiming the trophy. It was a brilliant way to connect with everyone before the winter break.
🙏 A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the events and content this year – there are too many to name individually!
🗓 I’m excited about the plans for next year, including a revamped Content Creators Cup and more content on my own channels. For now, I’ll be focusing on editing and releasing all the footage from a very busy 2025!
