Bryan Loocke Named 2025 Texas Energy Attorney of the Year
HOUSTON - Vinson & Elkins partner Bryan Loocke has been selected as The American Lawyer’s 2025 Texas Energy Attorney of the Year, recognizing his pivotal role in shaping major oil and gas transactions across the state.The award underscores the increasing complexity of the energy sector and the demand for legal expertise navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.
Loocke, who also serves as Managing Partner of Vinson & Elkins’ Houston office, earned the honor for his work facilitating multi-billion dollar deals in the upstream and midstream sectors. Loocke recently advised Grayson Mill Holdings in the $5 billion sale of its Williston Basin assets to Devon Energy. he also represented EnCap Investments and Ameredev in a $1.905 billion Delaware Basin deal with Matador Resources, and EnCap and XCL Resources in the $2.55 billion sale of Uinta Basin assets to SM Energy and Northern oil and Gas.
