Sr. Field Clinical Coordinator – los Angeles
BioMarin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Field Clinical Coordinator (FCC) to join our team, supporting patients and caregivers in the Los Angeles region. This home-based role is pivotal in ensuring prosperous initiation and ongoing adherence to BioMarin therapies, with a specific focus on Voxzogo.
The Sr. FCC will act as a key liaison, collaborating closely with clinics, BioMarin’s field sales team, and RareConnections personnel to facilitate a smooth patient journey from referral to treatment start. A core duty is providing complete education to patients and their caregivers regarding biomarin products – encompassing safety facts, efficacy data, proper dosing, governance techniques, and storage requirements.This includes offering in-person reinforcement of injection training when needed.
This role leverages motivational interviewing techniques to empower patients and caregivers, fostering self-management and long-term success with therapy. Ongoing education regarding the disease state and product administration will be a continuous component of the FCC’s work, alongside participation in patient educational events occurring approximately three times per year.
Beyond direct patient support,the Sr. FCC will demonstrate leadership within the team, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and proactively sharing best practices. Identifying and resolving obstacles, recognizing trends, and serving as a subject matter expert on achondroplasia and VOXZOGO are crucial aspects of the position. The FCC will also contribute to broader regional and national efforts, including training and acting as a liaison with advocacy groups, and will be encouraged to pursue peer leadership opportunities.

Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical experience specifically in a patient education capacity.
* 4+ years of direct patient care experience within the rare disease space.
* An allied health care professional education.
Requirements:
* Successful completion of a background check.
* A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
* Willingness to travel to patients’ homes, with overnight travel required up to 40% of the time.
The salary range for this position is $122,000 to $167,750. BioMarin determines compensation based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. This role may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
