San Diego Wave FC Duo Earn ⁢NWSL Second ​Team Honors

SAN DIEGO, CA – January 23, 2025 – San ⁣Diego Wave FC midfielders Delphine Cascarino and Kenza Dali have ⁢been named to the 2025 National Women’s Soccer league (NWSL) Best XI second ⁣Team, the league ⁣announced today. The ‍selections recognize the⁢ impactful performances ⁣of⁣ both players throughout the 2024 ‌season, solidifying the Wave FC’s presence among the league’s elite.

The NWSL best ⁢XI teams are determined⁣ through a weighted‌ voting process that incorporates input from players, owners/general ​managers/coaches, media⁣ members, and fans. The voting breakdown allocates 50% weight to players,⁣ 25% to team⁢ personnel,⁢ 25% to ⁢media, ⁣and 10% to fans. Both Cascarino and ⁤Dali’s inclusion on the Second Team signifies widespread recognition‍ of ‌thier contributions to⁢ the Wave FC’s success⁢ and the NWSL landscape.
