The Mayor of Tiquipaya began Wednesday the distribution of 6 thousand natural medicine kits to the population to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and the timely treatment of common colds, said Mayor Juan Carlos Ángulo.
“It has been seen to take this initiative, because there are many people who are confusing the Covid-19 with a normal cold and for that it has been seen that the municipality makes efforts to bring these plants and be able to deliver them,” he said.
The distribution will be made this Wednesday and Thursday in the Walter Claros coliseum to avoid crowds, in the OTB Ecológica and it is evaluated to do through the garbage cans.
35 thousand kits are expected to be distributed. Each package consists of matico, an antibacterial and antiviral plant; muña to prevent various respiratory problems and wira wira, antibacterial, expectorant, sudorific and feverish.
The headquarters epidemiological report shows that the municipality of Tiquipaya has 155 accumulated cases of Covid-19, seven deaths and 39 recovered. There are 8,310 in the department.
