Tips on How to Avoid Problems with Hot Passport Photos: A Podcaster’s Experience

A Podcaster from Los Angeles, was detained because he was judged to be a photo passportit’s too ‘hot’ and different from the original.

One passenger, Alisha Marie, was traveling on a plane bound for Istanbul with a friend.

However, he said he was almost detained from flying because the airport officials did not believe the photo in his passport because it was so different.

Even though he had experienced an unpleasant incident, he instead reminded the general public not to make passport photos that were too ‘hot’, because they are prone to not being identified.

Reporting from Thesun.co.uk, Thursday (1/6/2023), he explained in the video he uploaded to his Tiktok account, “They barely let me fly,”.

“Because they said I looked completely different from the passport photo,” she said.

In the video, he shows a photo in his passport and compares the condition of his face at the airport. Her face in the video, which appears without a touch of make up, looks very different from the photo in her passport.

“This is why you can’t take too ‘hot’ photos to make a passport because I (for example) don’t look like this (as in the photo),”

“I’ve never been so humble in my life,” he added.

Thousands of people have viewed videos uploaded by Alisha, with many saying that this is why they never take good photos of themselves for passport them.

“Definitely no need for glamor for my passport photo because I always look like hot trash when traveling,” wrote one woman.

“This is why I dress more modestly for passport or ID photos,” said another.

Other users share their own stories of people having trouble with ‘hot’ passport photos.

“I was on a bus with a girl at the Lao border who wasn’t allowed to cross because she was dressing up for her passport photo,” said another user.

“It also happened to me while in France,” said another.

The folks at TikTok recently shared how to take better photos for passports.

But not always photos passport pretty ones cause trouble. Nana Mirdad for example, some time ago she uploaded a photo of her passport and instead received a lot of praise from netizens because the photo is beautiful.
