Tineke de Nooij gets her own program on Radio Veronica | NOW

Tineke de Nooij can be heard every Saturday and Sunday evening with her own program on Radio Veronica from next month. From August 13, the 81-year-old radio icon can be heard from 11 p.m. to midnight.

Radio Veronica owner Talpa Network announced this on Monday. Earlier it was said that De Nooij would only receive broadcasting time on the digital theme channel Vintage Veronica.

Last week, De Nooij indicated during a special themed broadcast on Veronica that he would like to make radio again. The presenter had retired earlier this year, but did not want to sit at home.

Veronica channel manager Rob Stenders immediately offered De Nooij airtime. “Whoever says Radio Veronica, says Tineke. From the ship to Hilversum, Tineke was there and is a radio woman in heart and soul. If she indicates that she wants to make radio again, who are we not to respond to that. “

De Nooij said goodbye to radio at the end of January after sixty years when she finished her Omroep MAX program TinekeShow last presented on NPO Radio 5.

With a program on Veronica, De Nooij returns to her roots. She was involved in the founding of Radio Veronica in 1960 and became the first female DJ in the Netherlands.

The weekday hours between 23:00 and 00:00 on Radio Veronica are filled by Johan Derksen, Tuesday familiar.
