Zurich (AP) – The rock icon Tina Turner (82) has bought a 100-year-old estate on Lake Zurich. Her husband Erwin Bach confirmed this to the “Handelzeitung”.
“Because of the pandemic and its consequences, we – like many other Swiss people – unfortunately do not travel,” quoted the Bach newspaper on Thursday. «With this property we have found a new weekend retreat in the immediate vicinity.» The newspaper estimates the value of the new property at 70 million francs (around 67 million euros).
Turner and Bach have lived for many years in Küsnacht, about 20 kilometers further north, in a rented house, also directly on Lake Zurich. The two will soon become neighbors of the Federers: tennis player Roger Federer and his wife Mirka bought a property a few kilometers south of Stäfa in Kempraten, where extensive construction is currently underway.
