TIMELY NOTEBOOK: The fight for Europe will be very interesting

Vlastimil Vacek, Right

Slavia, Sparta and Slovácko played with teams from the lower half of the table, which are mainly fighting for rescue. Due to the relationship I have with them, Teplice does not want to join me there. Unfortunately, the tables are slowly approaching the dangerous floors.

I’ll start with Slavia, who set a new record in non-defeat matches. She played in Brno without goals, which greatly affected the early expulsion of goalkeeper Vágner. Brno has gotten very well, and I have to repeat again that I like his game a lot. Like Opava, he pays for the fact that he can’t score a goal. She played against ten, but Slavia coped well with the weakening also due to how demanding the program is, which must include the national team, for which a lot of players started, I think not only for the Czech one.

Veteran Kovář caught zero, comforted the unfortunate Vágner and is already thinking about Gunners

He has a wide staff, but also injured. The first matches after the national team break are never easy. I really liked the match, it definitely belongs to those in which no goals are scored, but there is something to watch, they have quality thanks to both teams. I think that everyone can be satisfied with the point in the end. I heard that Brno should have gone more for victory, in my opinion it was possible, but it pays for bad productivity, so even in the Moravian metropolis they can be satisfied in the end. After all, they are the only team that managed to deprive Slavia of points in both matches.

I would add to Slavia that even though she has two matches more than Sparta, her lead is big. Although Sparta will win both heavy matches with Jablonec and Pilsen, and will win in Eden on Sunday, which may happen because Slavia has a derby after the match with Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the European League, and before retaliation, she will still have enough points cushion. With the quality of the team, he can take the lead, even if it is smaller, and watch for the title. In any case, the fight for the title will still be interesting.

As for Sparta, I think he will play second place, he will want to defend the home cup and annoy his biggest rival. She gave an excellent performance against Teplice, she could score more than seven goals. Teplice only allowed Teplice two-goal cosmetic treatment of the result. Otherwise nothing more. If she continues like this, the second place cannot escape her.

Willow teaches Sparta the wilderness. Matches with the top teams are yet to come, announcing a difficult series

Under this pair, it will still be very interesting. Jablonec and Slovácko are fighting for the third, but several teams behind them are definitely not giving up the chance for Cup Europe. The Slovácko coronavirus pause did not affect the game in any way. He still presents himself with excellent performances. It managed to turn the match around in Opava, where no one has it easy. Opava gave a good performance, but if he gives only one goal to a quality opponent, and that is Slovácko, he can’t think of the points he needs so much. Even if he leads, he still has to knock for the result, because he will not add another goal. It’s not enough for her to win. Slovácko was better, it had more chances, and I am very interested in whether it will stay on the cup places, I think so.

Jablonec gives a lot of alternating performances. But they play honest football, I know coach Petr Radu very well, and I know that he does his best with the players to get into the qualification for the European League again. Nobody has it easy in Bohemka. After the excellent performance of Jablonec in a duel with Liberec, I expected more from him after all. In the end, however, they must be satisfied with the point, they did not create many chances, but I agree that the Bohemka’s goal was not correctly recognized.

I no longer trust Liberec in the fight for Europe. From the point of view of European cups, Ostrava wanted more. Slovan was a worse team. Baník even reached for the victory, but did not give a penalty, so he lost two points rather than gain. In Liberec, it is the opposite. He has played the full number of twenty-five matches, so for example Slovácko and Jablonec can still bounce back.

The penalty mage jumped to the top of the stats. I was also lucky, says Liberec Knobloch

And Pilsen is behind it, which has started. Viktorka’s three-point loss to Slovan due to two matches that she still has to finish is not so much, even though she has tough opponents and goes to Sparta, for example. In the match with České Budějovice, I really liked Pilsen. The South Bohemians are not a simple opponent, they showed it with Sparta, but Viktorka clearly went for the victory from the first to the last minute. She played under pressure, created a lot of chances, she could have scored more than two goals.

Even when the guests settled, there was no doubt that Pilsen was clearly behind the victory. In some passages, Dynamo, which is often better outside than at home, is simply cleared from the lawn. It will be interesting how Viktorka manages overtime and other matches, because she too can still speak in the fight for the cup medals. It is certainly good that we have something to look forward to.

Zdeněk Ščasný (63 years old), a former player of Dukla, Sparta and Bohemians, who won two championship titles with Sparta and one with Dukla during his active career, won the Czech and Czechoslovak Cups twice. He worked as a coach repeatedly in Sparta, in Victoria Žižkov, Teplice, he led Most and, for example, Mladá Boleslav. He also led the Greek OFI Crete or Panathinaikos Athens and the Hungarian Debrecen. He won two titles with Sparta as a coach and advanced with her to the quarterfinals of the European League, with Viktoria Žižkov he won the Czech Cup.
