An Indonesian boy named Ulul Albab El Ibrahim became a mate Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portugal vs Ghana match in Group H World Cup 2022, Thursday (11/24). The following is the timeline of the Indonesian boy paired with Ronaldo at the 2022 World Cup.
Ibrahim’s mother, Avida Suswanti, recounted the process where Brow, Ibrahim’s nickname, was able to accompany Ronaldo when interviewed by CNNIndonesia.com.
“Ibrahim got an offer from the school to be an escort player, then we presented it and thank God it was accepted. It took about 1.5 to two months from registration to announcement,” Avida told CNNIndonesia. com.
Avida said he knew nothing about the players his sons would accompany to the 2022 World Cup. He also found out that his son only held Ronaldo’s hand while watching the live broadcast of the match.
“I didn’t know this at all, and only found out by watching TV. Brow high-five [tos] with CR7,” he said.
“I still didn’t think he would be joined. But when he wanted to enter the pitch, I was amazed that it was my son who was accompanied by CR7,” he continued.
Madiun’s mother said her son has made football his current hobby. The boy gets to know Ronaldo through video games and is now able to meet the idol in person.
“Play a lot fifa. Ibrahim is the idol of CR7″ Avida said.
“Ibrahim wants to become a professional footballer, let’s hope his wish comes true,” he added.
Avida, via Instagram, immortalized the moment her son and Ronaldo snapped her by uploading a photo. She expressed pride in her son.
“Masha Allah, my son is on Cristiano’s Instagram. Thank you so much CR7 for taking my son with you to the World Cup pitch,” Avida wrote on Instagram.
In that match, Portugal emerged victorious with a score of 3-2. Ronaldo became one of the goalscorers by taking a penalty.
Ronaldo became the first player to score in five different World Cups. The goal against Ghana also made him the second oldest player (37) to score at a World Cup after Roger Milla for Cameroon (42).
Ghana had time to recover thanks to goals from Andre Ayew and Osman Bukari. But Portugal managed to secure victory thanks to additional goals from Jao Felix and Rafael Leao.
