JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – In 2021, TikTok which is a popular short video application in the world today recorded an extraordinary achievement.
App research firm Sensor Tower reported that TikTok became the first non-Facebook app to reach 3 billion downloads on iOS and Android globally on Thursday (15/7/2021).
Counting including the iOS version in China called Douyin, TikTok is also the most downloaded and won consumer spending highest among non-gaming in the first half of 2021.
In addition, this short video application is also listed as the highest earning application globally in the first half of 2021 and 383 million users installed TikTok for the first time.

This is TikTok’s biggest increase since a record 315 million downloads in a single quarter in 2020.
When compared to the first half of 2020, TikTok’s new downloads this year decreased 38 percent.
