THUNDERSTORMS – As forecast by Météo-France, the South West was particularly affected by thunderstorms on the evening of Thursday, June 17.
According to BFMTV and La Dépêche du Midi, at least two people were injured and around 40,000 homes were deprived of electricity in the Occitanie region, while rail traffic had to be interrupted in Ariège.

The Tarn was particularly affected, where gusts of over 100 km / h were recorded in the south of the department.
Météo-France also urges people to stay away from trees and waterways for people in areas affected by thunderstorms. It is also advisable to avoid moving because such bad weather is “liable to cause significant damage locally”.
