three women in absolute urgency

A van collided with a car on the A6 motorway in the Paris-Lyon direction. The accident took place around noon at Thoisy-le-Désert, not far from Pouilly-en-Auxois. SAccording to the first witnesses, the car was traveling at low speed, well below the authorized 130 km/h. Three women who were all in the same vehicle were seriously injured.

Two helicopter evacuations

The youngest, 18, who was in the back, had to be extricated before being evacuated by helicopter to the Dijon University Hospital in absolute urgency. The 45-year-old driver, also in absolute emergency, was also airlifted. As for the 49-year-old front passenger, also in critical condition, was brought by ambulance to Beaune hospital.

In the van, there are two minor injuries. They were able to get out of their vehicle before help arrived. It is a 37-year-old man and a four-year-old child, transported to Beaune hospital for check-ups. Traffic on the A6 was temporarily cut off while the two helicopters from the Côte-d’Or and Saône-et-Loire emergency services came to evacuate the injured. Eighteen firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
