Three reasons to look forward to Eredivisie match 25 | NOW

With Ajax-AZ and PSV-Feyenoord, the title battle in the Eredivisie will start this weekend. ADO The Hague received a visit from angry fans during the training, but could use all support in the fight against relegation. These are three reasons to look forward to the 25th round of play.

AZ can match special series from champion year

AZ can book a special victory over Ajax on Sunday evening in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The Alkmaarders won a visit to PSV (0-4) and Feyenoord (0-3) earlier this season and a win over Ajax means that AZ has won all the duels with the traditional top three in one season.

That only happened twice in the Eredivisie. Sparta Rotterdam won in 1962/1963 at Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV and AZ did that already in 1980/1981. The Alkmaarders won the national title in that season. A win at Ajax is therefore possibly the prelude to something beautiful.

However, grabbing three points in Amsterdam has not been spent on AZ in recent years. Ajax won the last four editions with 5-0, 3-0, 4-1 and 4-1 respectively. The confrontation in the capital is Sunday between the best performing home team (Ajax) against the best performing away team (AZ).

Does Lawyer win with Feyenoord in Eindhoven?

Feyenoord hunts against PSV for the eighth consecutive victory in the Eredivisie. The impressive series of victories began in December in the home match against the Brabant players (3-1). PSV won the last three matches and is also working on a good series.

A victory for Feyenoord would be a first for Dick Advocaat. The visiting coach of the Rotterdam team lost all five Premier League matches in Eindhoven as a visiting coach. His only away win at PSV was with Rangers in the Champions League: on September 28, 1999, it became 0-1.

Advocaat may need another inspiration from Róbert Bozeník for a breakout at PSV. The Slovakian winter acquisition can be the first player ever to make the winning goal for Feyenoord in three consecutive Eredivisie duels.

Fans are focusing on ADO for crucial weeks

For ADO The Hague the weeks of truth are coming. The formation of Alan Pardew needs good results quickly to prevent management degradation.

The program for the coming weeks may offer ADO some perspective. The number seventeen of the Eredivisie will still be visiting AZ on 7 March, but will face many competitors up to and including 5 April with Heracles Almelo (at home), Fortuna Sittard (at home), FC Twente (from) and FC Emmen (at home) .

The ADO selection has been refined on Wednesday. During the training a group of angry fans came onto the field to complain about the performance of the club. The fans spoke briefly with the players and trainer Pardew.
