Three people rescued by firefighters following a fire in Ixelles

The firefighters were called at 7.20am by a security company which had identified the fire thanks to its surveillance cameras.

Three people were present in the apartment located above the restaurant. After being rescued by firefighters, they were examined on the spot. None of them had to be taken to the hospital.

The fire was put out but the damage to the restaurant was extensive. The cause of the fire is not known at the moment.
