Three NYC Monkeypox Vaccination Sites

This weekend there are three simian pox vaccination centers operating.

This after Governor Kathy Hochul issued an executive order on Friday declaring a “state disaster emergency” in response to the recent outbreak of the disease.

The executive order comes as nearly 1,300 cases have been confirmed in the city as of July 29. Earlier in the week, Dr. Mary Basset, commissioner of the state health department, declared the spread an imminent threat to public health.

Monkeypox, whose symptoms include a rash and sores, is currently spreading predominantly among men who have sex with men, according to health authorities.
