Three German Länder will send 15,000 doses of vaccine to the Czech Republic

On Sunday, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš told the Terezia Tománková Party program on CNN Prima News that Saxony would supply the Czech Republic with 15,000 doses of AstraZeneca’s covid-19 vaccine for Cheb, Sokolov and Karlovy Vary, which are to be delivered on Monday. In a video published on social networks, Babiš later specified that the prime ministers of Saxony, Bavaria and Thuringia had just agreed on the delivery.

Referring to the Our World in Data website, the Reuters agency recalls that the Czech Republic with 10.7 million inhabitants had the highest rate of infections per capita in the world last week. In terms of population, it was ten times higher than in Germany, which has eight times more inhabitants than the Czech Republic.

Another 100,000 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech covid-19 vaccine were promised to the Czech Republic by France. Soldiers brought 5,000 doses of Moderna vaccine from Israel this week. Soldiers who serve in hospitals with patients with covid-19 will be vaccinated.
