– In Colombia, 50,000 doses of Pfizer’s first vaccine arrived through El Dorado International Airport on the 15th. Colombian President Ivan Duque even picked up the first vaccine at the airport. It is interpreted that it was judged that there was no reason to postpone vaccination as the vaccine volume came in as scheduled.

– “Today is the day when a new chapter is opened to defeat Corona 19,” said President Douke. Medical staff and the elderly aged 80 or older are the first to receive vaccination. The Colombian government plans to inoculate about 1 million people over the next month. It is also expected to bring in 192,000 doses of China’s Sinovac vaccine this weekend.

Colombia was one of the five late vaccinations out of 37 member states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). However, as Colombia started the first vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine following Japan on the 17th, the OECD member countries that have not yet started vaccination became Korea, New Zealand and Australia.
