A motorist killed a woman and her dog in IJmuiden last night. The driver then took off. Some time later, three people reported to the police station. They have been arrested.
The collision occurred around 10:50 p.m. on IJmuiderstraatweg, which runs along the canal in IJmuiden. The woman and dog died on the spot. Police then called on people to look out for a black car with damage to the front.
The role of the arrested trio in the accident is being investigated. Police also seized a car.
