The figures for Thomas Alsgaard AS for 2019 show that turnover fell to NOK 1.21 million from NOK 1.66 million the year before. This strongly contributes to a profit of NOK 566,000 in 2018 being worsened to a loss of NOK 445,000 in 2019.

Alsgaard allocated NOK 675,000 in salary for last year, a doubling from 2018.

In the annual report, Alsgaard writes that the Covid -19 pandemic affects the company negatively, as parts of the turnover related to operations have been significantly reduced.

Alsgaard (48) is one of Norway’s most winning cross-country skiers ever. Among other things, he can look back on five Olympic golds, of which three are individual, and six World Cup golds. The last two came in Val di Fiemme in 2003. Alsgaard won the World Cup in total in 1997-98 and also has seven Norwegian championships.

He retired after the 2003 season, but made a comeback in 2007 and then focused primarily on long-distance racing, before finally retiring in 2015. In 2017, he closed down the long-distance team Team LeasePlan after four years of commitment, because sponsorship income was lacking.

Alsgaard was an expert commentator for NRK until 2013.
