This year’s Gamers’ Night children’s and youth jury / Day has started its work

During two months, the jury will watch more than 10 live performances for Latvian and youth audiences, offered by Latvian theaters and theater associations (Valmiera Drama Theater, Latvian Puppet Theater, Daile Theater, Rezekne Theater Joriks, Dirty Deal Teatro, Gertrudes Street Theater, Cesis Small Theater, PERFORATION etc.) and several online theater projects. The children and youth jury show program was prepared in consultation with Gamblers Night a professional jury and guided by the possibilities of theaters and theater associations to play performances by children and young people.

In the second half of September, the children and youth jury met with Gamblers Night Andris Rutkēvičs, a representative of the 2019/2020 season jury, theater critics, to find out how professional theater critics evaluate performances.

This year the children’s jury consists of: Rihards Metla-Rozentāls (Gilles Verne Riga French School), Santa Rubene (Riga Jugla Secondary School), Markuss Celmins (Riga Teika Secondary School), Patricia Andrejevska (Riga Teika Secondary School), Santa Lucia Vanaga (Gilles Verne Riga French School ), Elīza Vintere-Dutka (Riga Jugla Secondary School), Ilze Gilba (Riga Montessori Primary School), Miks Lukša (Āgenskalns Primary School), Eduards Avotiņš (Āgenskalns Primary School).

This year’s jury consists of: Elizabeta Seile (Ādaži Free Waldorf School), Patriks Gustavs Rinkevičs (Riga State 1st Gymnasium), Eduards Porgailis (Riga State 1st Gymnasium), Keita Ardava (Riga Hansa Secondary School), Luīze Šnore (Riga French Lyceum) , Anete Mārtuža (Āgenskalns State Gymnasium), Emīlija Paula Andersone (Riga Catholic Gymnasium), Santa Rancāne (Riga French Lyceum), Roberts Rancāns (Riga State 1st Gymnasium).

November 23 Gamblers Night At the ceremony, a jury of children and young people will present an award for the best children’s show and the best youth show.
