KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Djoko Tjandra returned to the news after it was reportedly caught and would be flown to Indonesia. Previously, a fugitive from the Bank Bali cessie case was reportedly arrested in Papua New Guinea on Saturday (27/6).

However, the news has not been confirmed by the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). “Not yet confirmed,” said Head of the Attorney General’s Office for Legal Information Hari Setiono, Saturday (6/27) night.

For information, the Supreme Court has sentenced Djoko Sugiarto Tjandra to 2 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 15 million in 2009.

Then, the Supreme Court ordered that Djoko’s money at Bank Bali as much as Rp. 546 billion be confiscated for the state. This is related to the case of the transfer of the Bank Bali collection rights in 2008.

As is known, Djoko fled to Papua New Guinea one day before the Supreme Court issued a decision on the case in June 2009. He is now a citizen of Papua New Guinea.
