The latest report states that the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE (New Edition) is likely to be officially launched along with the Xiaomi 11T and Mi Pad 5 series through an event that will be held on September 15 for the global market. This past weekend, Xiaomi has released an official teaser hinting at the arrival of the 11 Lite 5G NE.

In the teaser, Xiaomi writes the tagline “A New Lite is Coming” which will be held at 8 pm GMT on 15 September. This will be the new version of the Mi 11 Lite 5G smartphone that debuted earlier this year. The event will be broadcast live on various social media channels owned by Xiaomi.

Last week, leaked renders of what was allegedly the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE circulated. This smartphone has a design that is almost identical to the original model. It has a screen with a punch-hole on the front, a fingerprint scanner on the side and a square camera module on the back.

In addition to the Vinyl Black, Tuscany Coral, and Jazz Blue colors, it is also expected to come in a White color that looks different from the original model. Meanwhile, for the kitchen, it is believed that the 11 Lite 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset from Qualcomm.

Regarding the front display, the 11 Lite 5G is expected to have a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen that produces FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It will likely house a 16 MP front camera. While on the back shell there will be a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro lens.

The smartphone may offer up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. Another leak mentions that the power supply embedded in this smartphone is a 4,250 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

In the European market, it is likely that this smartphone will be priced around 329 euros or equivalent to Rp. 5.5 million and may sell for under Rs 25,000 (Rp. 4.8 million) in India. Other reports reveal that the smartphone will have a different name in China, which is included in the Xiaomi CC11 series.
