Vivo has that show on the Chinese social network Weibo, after images of a test device earlier this week leaked. With the push of a button you can give the back of the phone a different color.
The smartphone has a back with two glass plates with an electrochromatic layer in between. An electric charge can allow the ions in the layer to be repositioned, resulting in a different shade.
According to Vivo, the technique does not use much energy. The phone brand has not yet said when the first phone with this special back will be on the market.
