This is yet to happen on the transfer market in the Netherlands

January 27, 2022 – The last transfer week has started. Dutch clubs still have a few days to complete the last reinforcements. There is still something to happen almost everywhere, although there are also a few clubs that hope that it will remain calm and thus can keep their star players. FCUpdate.nl lists the inbound and outbound transfers that are (possibly) on the roll. In part II: the top of the right row.

14. Heracles Almelo
Due to all the justified fuss around Rai Vloet, it was rarely quiet in January at Heracles Almelo, but it was pretty quiet in the transfer area. Justin Hoogma was brought back, but nothing else happened and it is also quite quiet as far as rumors are concerned in Almelo. With a view to next season, enough news has already come out: trainer Frank Wormuth is leaving for FC Groningen, Mats Knoester is not extending his expiring contract and Janis Blaswich was linked to RB Leipzig.

13. Go Ahead Eagles
With Cuco Martina and Aventis Aventisian, two transfer-free acquisitions arrived in Deventer at the beginning of January, but in the fight against relegation that alone may not be enough. With Evert Linthorst (Al Ittihad-Kalba), a third winter purchase will be added in each, partly because the transfer of Patrick Pflücke (Roda JC) faltered. He must become the desired number ten for coach Kees van Wonderen. For him must Kuwait also find a successor in the near future. Sipke Hulshoff was mentioned in that search, but for now Van Wonderen still holds sway. What else does he want to add? A keeper is also one of the options after the substitution between Andries Noppert and Warner Hahn.

12. RKC Waalwijk
Before the start of the transfer window, Roy Kuijpers was already brought in by RKC Waalwijk, but nothing noteworthy happened in the winter except for the departure of reserve keeper Jens Teunckens – where Joel Pereira is also almost fit. For the time being, despite a ‘hefty offer’, it is possible to keep captain Melle Meulensteen out of the hands of Willem II. General director Frank van Mosselveld gave in the Brabants Dagblad indicated that no RKC member is allowed to leave, except for the ‘absolute first prize’. In terms of incoming transfers, it is very quiet in Waalwijk, although Van Mosselveld did indicate that opportunities are being looked at.

11. FC Groningen
With Melayro Bogarde and Emmanuel Matuta, FC Groningen brought in two talents, the former being a reinforcement for this season and Matuta being brought in for the upcoming era of Wormuth. However, technical director Mark-Jan Fledderus is not ready yet, because Danny Buijs – with whom he does not have a great relationship – would like to add more experience to the A-selection. Terence Kongolo was the surprising name that popped up in the far north. Own talent Daniël van Kaam would like to leave on a rental basis and Wessel Dammers is in the interest of Willem II, while Genoa Jørgen Strand wanted to pick up Larsen. But the striker wanted to stay with FC Groningen himself.
