It was troublesome the coach search in Lucerne. But now it has an end. Fabio Celestini is said to save Lucerne from the impending relegation pit of the second half of the season.

You can ask why this process took so long. Meyer spoke to potential successors days before Thomas Häberli was released. It was only over two weeks later that the FCL announced the end of the search. Why? One can only speculate, but the FCL has probably not been able to agree with the preferred coach Bruno Berner.

But now it’s Celestini judge. A man who knows football and the Swiss league and who will not be denied professional competence. Only he doesn’t speak the German language very well.
