JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Tanjung Priok Port Police has conducted a search regarding a foreign citizen (foreigner) named Lee In Wong who took part in the Covid-19 vaccination using a Resident Identity Number (NIK) for a resident of Bekasi, West Java.
From the search results, it was confirmed that the foreigner on behalf of Lee In Wong had a Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAP).
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKP David Kanitero, said his party had so far not found any violation of the law in this case.
“That’s right, no violation of the law has been found,” said David when contacted in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/8/2021).
David explained that the foreigner had a NIK after making a Residence Certificate (SKTT) at the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil) of Bekasi Regency, West Java.
As for the requirements to make the SKTT, said David, you must first have a KITAP.
“The NIK is from KITAP. All registered foreigners have a NIK. If he doesn’t have a NIK, it means that the foreigner is illegal, aka unregistered,” said David.
Currently, Lee In Wong’s SKTT has expired, namely May 2021. When asked about this SKTT, David explained that the SKTT can be made again if needed as long as the KITAP owned by foreigners is still valid.
